Madang MarketToday we went in to Madang to go shopping at market and at some stores. I got four laplaps (wrap-around skirts), one meri-blouse, a basket and lid, two dolphins carved out of ebony, two necklaces, a bilum, and some strawberry candy. It was fun trying out Tok Pisin with several different people we met. We met a security guard who was very pro-American and didn't want us to feel scared in PNG. It was interesting to talk to him.

I'm feeling very lonely tonight... I played guitar in the classroom for a while, and then let someone else play. My nose has been running non-stop all day... thank You, God, for chicken soup for dinner - and for all the blessings in today.
